Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP)

Each year East Cobb Rotary looks forward to sponsoring a Georgia Rotary Student Program student along with the Rotary Club of Marietta.

Our GRSP student, Ivana Hayek, who is from Lebanon, is smart, friendly, and a pleasure to have as part of our East Cobb club's Family of Rotary. Ivana attends the club's Wednesday morning meetings almost every week. She is a student at Kennesaw State University at the Southern Polytech campus, and enjoying all of the GRSP weekend conclaves around the State of Georgia.

The purpose of the GRSP program is to promote world peace through understanding by offering scholarships to international students for one year of study in Georgia colleges and universities. This International Service project is centered on the youth of the world in whose hands rest the future of world peace. Ivana is a fine example of being a pleasant and diplomatic ambassador for peace during her months with us as a GRSP student.

In addition to sponsoring a GRSP student, one of our club members, Blaine Hess, serves as a GRSP Trustee.
