Here’s a quick look at April’s Board meeting:
- Membership: The subcommittee presented results of its SWOT and proposed action plan to increase membership to 100 by June 2027. This strategy is based on a club-wide team approach to inviting prospective new members with the goal of adding one new member each month. Peter and Fred both agreed that our on-boarding process needs to be more robust. They will explain their proposed strategy to the club at a Friday meeting. The board unanimously approved Steve Dolinger’s application for membership - his date for induction will be announced. This will bring our new members for this year to four; the goal set for us by the District is nine. We still have time.
- Golf Tournament: Bob O’Brien provided an update on the golf tournament sponsorships. We are still seeking Gold and Platinum sponsors as well as the putting contest sponsorships. If we are unable to secure this sponsor, the club will sponsor the putting contest. Neal has acquired several items for auction, with an estimated combined value of $8,000.
- Jack Sparks volunteered to attend the Nepal WASH project presentation at John’s Creek North Fulton Rotary meeting on May 14. Louise is planning to attend the April 22 meeting at North Fulton on District 6900 Disaster Relief.
- A brief discussion was held about the end of year awards, and Rookie fo the Year/Rotarian of the Year nominations were requested.
The next Board meeting is May 20 at 7:30 am via Zoom - all club members are invited; contact Louise Barden for Zoom link
