'Stand with Ukraine'
District 6900, FODAC and Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills received special gratitude from Ukrainian refugee and local Ukranians
Refugees from Ukraine came to express their gratitude to District 6900 for their assistance towards Ukraine relief efforts in collecting $154,490. The money was spent to purchase much-needed medical equipment, which was sent to Ukraine.
A special thanks go out to Chris Brand from FODAC to find the necessary medical tools such as orthopedic surgical drills and saw sets, negative pressure wound care systems, and infant incubators but also to prepare them for shipment. The group also expressed their gratitude to the Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills for their monetary support and volunteering in preparing the shipment.
As a sign of gratitude, the Ukrainians performed a melody by the Ukrainian composer Miroslav Skoryk, which was the highlight of the event. Sounds of authentic Ukrainian music filled the hall and inspired the hearts of all present.
