11 Days - 11 Remote Villages - 11 Free Cancer Detection Camps

Rotary Club of Amreli Gir (Host Club), Rotary Club of Chikhli River Front and Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills (International partner) organized free of cost cancer detection camps in 11 remote villages.

From July 15 th to July 25th, 2022 a mobile cancer detection bus made a visit to 11 remote villages in Gujarat, India providing free cancer detection services. These camps were locally organized by the Rotary Club of Amreli Gir, and funded by both the Rotary Club of Amreli Gir and the Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills. 

The cancer detection bus is a result of the Global Grant Project of the Rotary Foundation GG #2118317 where Rotary Club of Chikhli River Front (Host club) and Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills (International partner). 

The screening was only done for 'Breast & Cervical Cancer'.

Our club is especially proud of our past presidents PP Chatur Chhabhaya and PP Pravin Kakadiya who both have generously donated and dedicatedly worked hard to make both the cancer detection bus Global Grant project and these cancer detection camps a reality.
